Eat Green Vietnam started with a simple belief: the best Vietnamese food comes from clean rivers, healthy farms and a living sea.
Meet our founder – Nguyễn Thị Nhật Hiếu
Hiếu is a marketer who has spent her career telling Vietnam’s story to the world. She is Deputy Marketing Director at Vietjet Group, responsible for international markets including Thailand and Australia, and was previously Marketing Director at Vikki Digital Bank and Gold Coast Mall Nha Trang.
She also founded Vị Nhà Quê, a countryside-food brand from Nha Trang, and its Facebook community, where women in Nha Trang and across Vietnam support each other to start and grow their own small businesses. Eat Green Vietnam grew out of Vị Nhà Quê and is a family project she runs together with her husband and children.
Why food, and why green
Nha Trang’s favourite breakfast, bún chả cá, only exists because the bay is full of fish. That link – between what’s on the plate and what’s in the sea – is why every guide on this site ends with one small, practical way to waste less.

Beach clean-up opposite Hòn Đỏ
Hiếu joined a clean-up of the beach opposite Hòn Đỏ in Nha Trang, organised by Gold Coast Mall Nha Trang with Limloop and local hotels. Around 150 volunteers took part, including Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 Ngọc Châu.

Upcycling
Supporting Limloop
Hiếu has supported Limloop, which turns plastic waste into bags, fabric, fashion and laptop sleeves – creating jobs for people with disabilities, including visually and hearing-impaired artisans.

Coral restoration
Replanting coral in Nha Trang Bay
She supports coral restoration with Coral Reef Vietnam (CRV) and Avatar Vasada at the Vạn San Đảo biodiversity conservation centre, an artificial reef on the Bãi Tiên coast near Vega City (KDI Holdings). A September 2025 survey there recorded 33 coral species and 58 fish species on the reef.

Eat Green Vietnam launches
The family turns Vị Nhà Quê into a guide for international travellers: real food from North to South, with one eat-green tip in every guide.
A community for women who cook and trade
Through the Vị Nhà Quê Facebook group, Hiếu brings together women in Nha Trang and across Vietnam who are starting and growing small businesses – many of them in food. Some of the dishes on this site will come from them.
Our invitation
We’re looking for partners who share this mission – airlines, travel and transport groups, F&B and fashion brands, and schools – to help more travellers eat well and live greener, and to keep Vietnam’s sea and islands healthy for the next generation.
